A RAM Law client suffered a fractured fibula when she slipped and fell on a public sidewalk outside of her condominium. Normally, condominium associations are not responsible to clear snow and ice from public sidewalks. However, RAM Law was able to establish that the condominium association was liable for failing to clear the parking lot and internal sidewalks of ice and snow for two days. This forced the client to use the public sidewalk to access bus stop across the street. The client required surgical insertion of a plate and screws. Luckily, the surgery went well and the client required little post-surgical care.
