$1,350,000 for a Cyclist Struck by a Vehicle

RAM Law Associate Paul Brandenburg settles Somerset County auto litigation for $1,350,000. The RAM Law client was a bicyclist struck by a vehicle making a left turn in Hillsborough, NJ causing her to fall and suffer injuries to her elbow and low back. At the time of the incident, the client was 30 weeks pregnant, but thankfully the baby was unharmed. The elbow injuries required multiple surgical procedures to correct the damage and manage the client’s pain. Initially the Defendant contended that the car accident was not severe enough to cause the extent of the client’s claimed injuries. However, the Defendant’s insurance company agreed to pay $1.35 million to avoid trial.
