$500,000 Settlement of Federal Truck Crash Litigation

$500,000 settlement of Federal truck crash litigation obtained by RAM Law partner Ed Rebenack. The RAM Law client was stopped for a red light in South Plainfield, New Jersey when a Pennsylvania tractor-trailer driver failed to stop in time resulting in the crash. The client suffered neck injuries which eventually required surgical procedures. The trucking company initially contended that the impact was minimal with minor damage to the vehicles and further maintained that the RAM Law client’s condition existed prior to the crash. After litigation in Federal Court, District of New Jersey, the insurance carrier for the trucking company agreed to pay $500,000 to settle the litigation before trial.
