On Saturday, a Denville woman was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 78 in Union County. New Jersey State Police said the crash occurred near Hillside Township when a westbound Honda SUV struck a Toyota SUV while changing lanes. A third vehicle, a Ford, crashed into the Honda, overturned, and was then struck by a Chevrolet.
A woman in the Ford was ejected during the crash and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The Toyota and Chevrolet drivers, and two passengers in the Chevrolet, including an 11-year-old, sustained only minor injuries, police said.
