Jay Mascolo won a $146,250 net verdict following a one week jury trial involving a New Jersey State Trooper injured in an automobile accident. The RAM Law client was on duty and responding to an automobile accident on the opposite side of Route 195. While responding, a single car lost control and struck a guardrail causing debris to fly into the opposing lane of travel. The client’s vehicle then struck the rear of a vehicle that had simultaneously changed lanes and stopped short in response to the debris. The jury found that the car that struck the guardrail was 40% responsible, the car that stopped short was 25% responsible and the trooper was 35% responsible. The trooper sustained injuries to his shoulder, neck and knees.
